Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 20 July 2026
In2u.dev (“In2U”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the In2U mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account and profile information
We may collect information you provide when you register, use, or update your account, including:
- Email address
- Display name and biography
- Profile photo
- Birth year
- Gender and matching preferences
- Password or third-party authentication information. Passwords are stored in hashed form and not as plain text.
- Records of your acceptance of our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy
1.2 Location and activity information
With your permission, the App collects approximate or precise device location while you are using the App. We use this information to provide nearby discovery, event and venue check-in, presence, matching, and safety features.
The App does not request permission to collect location while running in the background. You can disable location permission in your device settings, but location-dependent features may then be unavailable.
We may also process check-ins, event participation, last-active times, venue activity, and approximate distance or proximity information.
1.3 Content and interactions
We may collect content and activity you create in the App, including:
- Swipes, matches, and related interaction history
- Chat messages and message-read status
- Events, venue information, descriptions, photos, and check-in answers
- Venue-management or ownership requests, including contact name, contact phone number, location, and supporting photos
- Blocking records, including who you choose to block and when
- Safety reports, including the reported user or content, selected reason, optional details, captured content needed for review, report status, moderation notes, and action history
- Communications and requests you send to us
1.4 Technical and security information
We process identifiers and technical records needed to operate and secure the service, including account identifiers, authentication and refresh-token records, message identifiers, timestamps, and security or rate-limiting information.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create, authenticate, and manage accounts
- Provide profiles, discovery, check-in, matching, messaging, event, and venue features
- Display relevant profile information and approximate proximity to other users
- Send verification, password-reset, service, and security communications
- Maintain safety, prevent misuse, enforce our rules, and protect the service
- Investigate reports, enforce blocks, document moderation decisions, and respond to safety complaints
- Diagnose problems, maintain, and improve the App
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information.
Depending on how you use the App, other users may see information such as your display name, biography, profile photo, birth-year-derived age information, gender, event or venue participation, and approximate distance or proximity. Matched users may see messages you send to them. We do not display your precise device location to other users.
We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate the App, such as infrastructure, database, and email-delivery providers. These providers process information on our behalf for service operation.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, or as part of a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards.
4. Data Retention
We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to operate the App, protect safety and security, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods may vary by data type.
Safety reports, captured reported content, blocking records, and moderation history may be retained for a reasonable period after content or an account is removed when needed to prevent repeat abuse, document enforcement, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
You can delete your account from the Profile screen in the App. You may also contact us to request deletion. When an account is deleted, we delete or de-identify associated personal information unless limited retention is required for legal, fraud-prevention, safety, or security reasons. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups are overwritten.
5. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network transmission and protected authentication storage. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information.
You can update certain profile information and delete your account within the App. You can control location access through your device settings.
For privacy questions or requests, contact support@in2u.dev.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is intended only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
8. International Processing
Information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international processing.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy in the App and update the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent.
